Quitting Is Never An Option: How To Stay Motivated When Times Get Tough
Written by Iesha Renee’
This post is about why quitting is never an option.
Can we be real for a moment? You’ve probably had plenty of times when you just wanted to throw in the towel. You’ve felt so weighed down by frustration, anger, and sadness that all you wanted to do was stay in bed and shut out everything and everyone. It’s easy to think that ignoring the world is the perfect antidote, but giving up and giving in won’t fix anything.
The tough times you’re going through are temporary, and better days are ahead. If you feel this way, before you lose hope, let me share three reasons why quitting is never an option.

This post is about why quitting is never an option.
Why is quitting not an option?
1. You have a purpose & a gift to share.
We’re all created for a reason, each of us with a unique purpose. It’s so important to fulfill that purpose because someone on the planet needs what only you can provide. Your gifts are extraordinary and meant to be shared with the world. God expects you to make the most of what you’ve been given. Don’t let your beautiful talents go to waste.
I don’t know about you, but I want to be like the servant in the parable of the talents who took what they were given, doubled it, and heard, “Job well done,” Instead of being the one who didn’t use what he had and was called lazy and wicked. You want to leave this world empty because you allowed your gifts to make room for you. You should find joy knowing you have completed your assignments and utilized the time your Father granted you.
29 To those who use well what they are given, even more will be given, and they will have an abundance. But from those who do nothing, even what little they have will be taken away.
-Matthew 25:29
2. The assignment is bigger than you.
You might not realize it, but someone e is looking to you for inspiration. They might not have believed in their own potential until they saw you pursuing your dreams. When you seek after what you want, it creates new opportunities for the people around you. Your efforts can create a ripple effect, blessing future generations because you chose to follow your purpose.
So when opportunities come your way, remember that quitting is never an option—someone out there needs you to be their answered prayer. It might feel like a big responsibility, but the rewards are much greater. Plus, God never gives you more than you can handle.
3. Quitting is easy.
Quitting might seem like the easier option, but it can often do more harm than good. The truth is, nothing worth having comes easy. Challenge yourself to push through, not just for your growth but for your family’s well-being. There’s so much to gain from working hard and striving for greatness. No one wants to settle for a life that’s just okay.
You’re meant for more, and winners like you don’t take the easy way out. Remember, the easy path is for those who settle, and you’re anything but average—you’re exceptional. You owe it to yourself to be the person God called you to be. There is so much of life to see, goals to accomplish, and adventures to take head-on that quitting is never an option.
You have come this far; why give up now? Keep this quote from ET The Hip-Hop Preacher as a reminder, “God has a purpose for your pain, a reason for your struggles, and a reward for your faithfulness. Don’t give up.”
God has a purpose for your pain, a reason for your struggles, and a reward for your faithfulness. Don’t give up.

In conclusion
Ultimately, we all face moments when giving up feels like the best choice, but quitting is never an option. Life’s challenges are temporary, but pushing through the pain can lead to growth, wisdom, strength, and a better future. Remember, you’re stronger than you think, and your effort today will pay off in ways you can’t even imagine. Keep going because the best is yet to come.
