WARNING: The word “cozy” will be used excessively, lol, because it perfectly describes how Fall makes you feel (my opinion, of course). If you have another word that resonates with fall, please feel free to share it below in the comments. :)!
The best 24 hour challenges for the Fall
1. No Social Media Day
I am coming out the gate blazing with this challenge: Turn off all social media apps for 24 hours. Yep, I dare you! Give your mind a break and focus on the present moment. Many times we often lose track of reality and time because we are so wrapped up and invested in the virtual world.
Fill this time with things you always wanted to do but never had time for, especially in the Fall, such as taking a hike you have been longing for or going apple picking so you can make those candy apples you have been craving.
Having no social media is also the perfect reason to squeeze in more family time since you aren’t that occupied. More family time creates more memorable moments. You have no excuses now. You deserve a break because social media is sometimes overwhelming and demanding. I know you may have a lot invested in social media, but you got this. The world can wait; your well-being is a priority.
2. No Complaints Challenge (Create a Gratitude Jar)
Here is another gut-wrenching challenge: Avoid complaining about anything and anyone for 24 hours. Focus on the positive rather than the negative and find solutions rather than highlighting every problem.
Bite your tongue and try to get along with the person, even if they are getting on your last nerve. Not complaining might be one of the hardest challenges to do; if we are being honest, complaining sometimes becomes second nature to us. We do it before we even realize it.
So, that’s why this challenge is excellent for both you and me: It gives you a chance to really practice gratitude. Just sit back and think about all you have to be grateful for this season.
Create a gratitude jar and write down on little pieces of paper 24 (hence the 24h our challenge) things you are thankful for. When you find yourself complaining, pull out the jar as a reminder of why you shouldn’t. All you have to do is be mindful and intentional; the rest will take care of itself.
Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.
-1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
3. Random Acts of Kindness Challenge
Complete at least 5 random acts of kindness in 24 hours. It could be sending a friend an uplifting text because you know they are going through tough times, or you could create a domino effect by buying the person’s order behind you when you go through the fast food line in the morning. Even if it’s a hello with a smile to a stranger, no good deed goes unnoticed.
***Disclaimer: If you will not do this challenge with pure motives and expect nothing in return, please don’t do it at all. Don’t even waste your time and fake it because people will see right through that. When you can genuinely do this challenge, then do so. ***

4. Fall-Themed Movie Marathon & Pajama Day
Pick a cozy fall-themed movie lineup, maybe some scary classics or feel-good movies incorporating the fall theme. Get your blanket, hot chocolate, or apple cider, and let the movie marathon begin! Spend the day in your coziest fall-themed pajamas. Eat your comfort food and relax with no worries.

5. Creative Fall Journaling Challenge
Grab your favorite Fall journal and challenge yourself to fill a few pages with fall-inspired prompts (like “What do you love most about Fall?” or What are your favorite activities to do during Fall?”). Let this challenge be very therapeutic and fun for you. Don’t overthink it; just be creative and go with the flow.

6. Fall Photo Scavenger Hunt
Create a list of fall-themed items (e.g., pumpkins, colorful leaves, cozy sweaters, smell-good candles) and spend the day finding and taking pictures of them. Share your favorite pictures with your family and friends.
7. Fall-Inspired Reading Challenge (Read One Book in a Day)
Challenge yourself to read an entire book in a day. Choose a fall-themed book and find the coziest place in the house to read it. Then, let your imagination take you to another world.

8. Pumpkin Spice Taste Test Challenge
Spend the day tasting pumpkin flavors from different places where you live. After you finish, rate the flavors from 1-10 and choose your favorite. To make this challenge even more exciting, recreate the favorite treat that you tasted and see which is the best. By the way, if you are not the pumpkin type, you can switch up the flavor, but make sure it is fall-inspired.
9. Cook-Off with Seasonal Ingredients (Only)
You should enjoy this challenge because you can involve your family or friends. Challenge yourself and others to only make a meal using fall ingredients such as cinnamon, sweet potatoes, squash, and apples.
Be creative and see who makes the best dish. You can even add a reward to make it even more competitive. This dare should be interesting because everyone thinks they know how to cook until it’s time to cook.
10. DIY Fall Decor Day
Use your 24 hours to create homemade fall decorations. You may want a wreath on your door or pumpkin centerpieces on your dining table. Get crafty with the ribbons and add some pinecones to make them more festive. You want to outdo your neighbors (lol, j/k, or am I?). Go all out with the decorations because fall only lasts for so long. Enjoy yourself!
11. Create a Fall Playlist w/Dance Party
Spend the day curating the ultimate fall playlist filled with songs that make you feel cozy, calm, or energized. Listen to it while you take on your daily tasks to keep you in the mood.
To make this even better, throw yourself a dance party along with some decorations, mocktails, and a yummy snack. Don’t take the day too seriously; allow yourself to feel free.
12. DIY Candle Making
Make some autumn-inspired candles with scents like cinnamon, apples, and essential oils. Remember to light your candle so that your house smells like all things fall. These candles can also make perfect holiday gifts.

13. Create a Fall-Inspired Vision Board
I love this challenge because vision boards are fun and help you let loose and be creative. Spend the day gathering everything you need, such as printed pictures, magazine clippings, and newspapers, along with the board, to create a fall-inspired vision board. Showcase everything that comes to mind about Autumn and why you love it.
You can also add your goals and aspirations that you have or want to accomplish in this season. You can make a digital board if you don’t want to make a physical board. The digital vision board can be made with tools such as Canva. Once you have completed your vision board, you can hang it up in a place where you can constantly see it for inspiration or add it to your tablet, laptop, or phone as a screensaver.

14. Hot Beverage Bar Challenge
You are your own bartender for the day. Set up a mini DIY hot beverage bar with drinks such as apple cider, coffee, hot chocolate, or your favorite tea, with different flavors and toppings (pumpkin spice, caramel, cinnamon sticks, whipped cream, etc.). Challenge yourself to create unique drink combos throughout the day! If you want to take it up a notch, add your favorite desserts for even more of a good time.
15. Fall Fashion Challenge/Autumn Theme Photoshoot
Put together 3-5 autumn-inspired outfits from your closet and wear a different one for each part of the day. Since you have the fashion together, now it’s time to shine by having a photo shoot (with an Autumn theme, of course).
To really capture the season’s essence, you can use the leaves as a prop or stand in front of pumpkins or beautiful trees; the options are endless. Take as many photos as possible so you can reflect on how exciting these moments were and be able to show friends and family.
Conclusion
